The P3.1 billion bridge, funded through China’s Official Development Assistance (ODA), is a four-lane, six-span extradosed structure stretching 480.20 meters, with 1,340 meters of approach roads.
DPWH stated that the Bucana Bridge is expected to open once DPWH Regional Office 11 completes the asphalt road leading to Quezon Boulevard by December.
DPWH stressed that this road will serve as the main access route for motorists traveling to and from the bridge and the Davao City Coastal Road, providing a safer and more efficient commute for residents and easing the city’s traffic congestion.
