The City Cooperative Development Office (CCDO) celebrated its 25th anniversary on December 5, 2025, highlighting its role in promoting cooperative growth and improving the lives of Dabawenyos.
The event, held at the World Palace, honored long-serving employees and retirees who contributed to the office’s development.
In a message read during the program, Davao City acting Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte expressed confidence in CCDO’s capacity to further empower local communities.
“As we mark this milestone, we recognize another year of promoting financial resilience, supporting communities, and creating livelihood opportunities for Dabawenyos,” Duterte said.

She said the office also aims to increase the number of viable cooperatives by helping them comply with regulations, access financial assistance, and implement feasible projects.
The city offers zero-interest loans ranging from P100,000 to P1 million, depending on the cooperative’s size: P100,000–300,000 for micro and small cooperatives, and P500,000–P1,000,000 for medium and large cooperatives.
Carpio said CCDO also assists cooperatives in preparing project proposals to secure grants and other funding.
“We encourage more groups and associations to register as cooperatives, as many programs and funding opportunities are exclusive to accredited cooperatives,” Carpio added.
With 25 years of service, CCDO reaffirmed its commitment to supporting cooperative growth, financial resilience, and community empowerment in Davao City.
