Davao City’s street sweepers, long recognized as the unseen force behind the city’s cleanliness, will be the focus of this year’s fashion exhibition for a cause scheduled on December 14 at Felcris Centrale Al Fresco Upper Ground.

The 8th installment of the show, organized by Icon Elites Artist Management (IEAM) in partnership with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), will dedicate its proceeds and giveaways to 30 to 50 street sweepers.

Pau Garcia, president of IEAM and creative director of Fashion Exhibition 2025 Creativity Matters, said the event aims to highlight the contribution of street sweepers, especially with Davao City recently named the second cleanest city in Asia.

Davao City was ranked behind Singapore as the second cleanest city in Southeast Asia by the 2025 Mid-year Numbeo Pollution Index.

“Maghatag mi ug pahalipay sa ilaha and we will choose or two street sweepers that we will give them pampering sessions as they deserve as Davao City named as the second cleanest city in Asia. We would like to give back to the people who made Davao City clean. We will be giving these street sweepers sun visors, essentials, if ever we could come up with groceries for them since it is Christmas,” Garcia said during the Davao Peace and Security Press Corps media briefing.

Garcia said they hope this simple initiative will bring joy and recognition to Davao City’s often overlooked community workers.

“This is our way of giving back to them,” Garcia added.

The fashion show will showcase cutting-edge creations by designer Rey Calajate.
