Vice President Sara Duterte joined the “Pahalipay sa Taal 2025,” the Duterte family’s annual Christmas gift-giving activity, held on Christmas Day, December 25, near their ancestral home in Taal, Central Park.

The yearly tradition drew thousands of people, with authorities reporting that at least 45,000 beneficiaries were served during the large-scale event.

The activity included the distribution of gift packs and a short entertainment program, marking the Christmas celebration with a spirit of sharing and community solidarity.

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), in coordination with the City Government of Davao and other security and safety clusters, led security operations for the event.

DCPO acting Director Col. Mannan Muarip said the celebration concluded peacefully and without any untoward incident.

Muarip credited the smooth and orderly conduct of the activity to the coordinated efforts of police units, force multipliers, partner agencies, and the cooperation of the community.

He personally conducted foot patrols, inspected security posts, and supervised the deployment of personnel, while directing intensified police visibility, traffic management, and heightened alertness against potential threats.

The incident-free celebration underscored the strong collaboration among law enforcement agencies, local government units, and residents in ensuring public safety during major public gatherings.

Muarip reiterated the DCPO’s commitment to safeguarding the public during large events, guided by the D.A.V.A.O. Framework or Discipline, Action, Virtue, Accountability, and Order, emphasizing that maintaining peace and order remains a shared responsibility of authorities and the community.
