CTO urges Dabawenyos to renew biz permits ahead of deadline

The Davao City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) is reminding Dabawenyos and business owners to renew their business permits on time, as the annual Business Permit One-Stop-Shop (BPOSS) remains open until January 31, 2026.

“Sa mga wala pa naka renew sa ilahang permit, magremind ko nga ang atoang Business Permit One-Stop-Shop magpadayon hangtod January 31, 2026 (To those who have yet to renew their permits, our Business Permit One-Stop-Shop will continue until January 31, 2026),” Atty. Lawrence D. Bantiding, the City Treasurer, said in an interview.

He added that since its kick-off on January 5, they have observed a strong turnout, noting an increase in both the number of business permit application processed and revenue collected by the city.

“Usually pud, daghan g’yud taxpayers nagatransact everyday, which is why, kami sa Treasurer’s Office nagapaningkamot pud nga makahatag og tamang pagtagad sa atoang mga taxpayers (Usually, a lot of taxpayers transact every day, which is why, we in the Treasurer’s Office, strive to provide efficient services to our taxpayers),” Bantiding said.

He also reminded the public of the upcoming deadline for real property tax payments, which is set for March 31, 2026.

“Kung magbayad ta og full before ana nga date, makadawat kita og 20 percent discount sa current year tax (If taxpayers pay in full before the March due date, they are entitled to a 20 percent discount in the current year tax),” Bantiding added.

The CTO also expressed its gratitude to the Dabawenyos for constantly supporting the city by paying their taxes, and securing permits prior to doing business in the city. CIO
