Mercado Dabawenyo opens merchant slots

The Davao City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) has called on Dabawenyo entrepreneurs to take part in the Mercado Dabawenyo, which is part of the celebration of the 89th Araw ng Dabaw.

This year’s Mercado Dabawenyo will feature a total of 35 concessionaires, including 10 food vendors, 10 beverage stalls, eight local product exhibitors, and seven fresh produce sellers.

The marketplace will transform the Rizal Park Open Grounds into a vibrant hub of Davao’s food and commerce, welcoming visitors from March 24 to 29, 2026, 3p.m. to 11p.m.

Willenito P. Tormis Jr., Officer-in-Charge of the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) said the event was designed to showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of Dabawenyos, while giving the public a chance to enjoy the city’s best flavors and support local businesses.

“The 89th Araw ng Dabaw this year is not just your ordinary celebration in Davao City, we are bringing it closer to the people. Because we always believe that Dabawenyos deserve better. We deserve all of the things that we have right now and we wanted to celebrate that,” he said.

Vendors who wish to join must be based in Davao City and are required to submit the official application form, along with supporting documents, including a photocopy of valid government-issued ID, Business permit, CTOO tourism certificate, DTI business registration certificate, and an actual photo of their stall or booth.

They must also comply with the City Health Office’s food safety regulations, ensuring proper food-handling attire and strict adherence to cleanliness and waste disposal protocols.
