The Davao City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO), in partnership with the Department of Tourism 11 (DOT 11) and local tourism stakeholders, unveiled on Friday a set of new tourism circuits designed to highlight the city’s culture, cuisine, and agricultural heritage.

Dubbed “Suroy ‘Ta” is an initiative that features curated travel routes that encourage both residents and visitors to explore different aspects of Davao City from its thriving food scene to its agricultural abundance and multicultural history.

Among the newly introduced tourism circuits are the Abundant Harvest, Furusato Davao, Davao City Food Crawl, and Davao Market Experience routes.

One of the featured experiences, Davao Market Experience x Downtown Davao Food Crawl, offers visitors a chance to explore the city’s bustling public markets and food stops, highlighting popular local dishes and street food culture.

Another route, Furusato Davao: Tracing the Roots of Little Tokyo, focuses on the Japanese heritage in the city, reflecting the long-standing presence of Japanese communities that helped shape local history and culture.

Meanwhile, the Davao’s Abundant Harvest Circuit showcases the region’s agricultural strengths, introducing visitors to the city’s fresh produce and farm-based products that have become staples of the local economy.

Willenito P. Tormis Jr., officer-in-charge of the CTOO said the circuits are part of broader efforts to strengthen tourism in the city while promoting local businesses, agricultural producers, and cultural destinations.

During the launch, participating establishments and attractions showcased their products and services, giving guests a preview of the experiences included in each route.

The CTOO expressed hope that the new circuits will encourage travelers to spend more time exploring the city, helping generate economic opportunities for small businesses while reinforcing Davao City’s reputation as one of Mindanao’s emerging tourism destinations.
