New Davao City Police Office (DCPO) City Director Col. Peter B. Madria vowed on Monday a fast and honest police service in Davao City.

Madria formally replaced acting DCPO director Col. Mannan Muarip during the Turnover of Office Ceremony held at Sandigan Hall, Camp Captain Domingo E. Leonor DCPO compound, Davao City on Monday.

In his assumption message, Madria emphasized his vision for responsive and trustworthy policing.

“As I assume this command, I do so with a clear vision – one that is fully aligned with the PNP focus agenda. Our mission is to ensure that our police service is mabilis, tapat, at tunay ang nararamdaman,” he said.

He assured the public of his commitment to uphold the core values of service, honor, and justice as the DCPO continues its efforts to keep Davao City safe and secure.

The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11).

The program featured traditional rites, including Arrival Honors, Guest Book Signing, the reading of termination and designation orders, and the signing of the Relinquishment and Assumption of Office.

A symbolic turnover of command and the Office Property Equipment Inventory Book further highlighted the formal change in leadership.

Awards were presented to Muarip in recognition of his service, while the incoming leadership was formally acknowledged.

Madria said the turnover signifies both a transition and continuity in leadership, reinforcing the DCPO’s commitment to maintaining peace and order in the city.

With Madria now at the helm, the DCPO looks to build on the foundation established by his predecessor while advancing its mission of public safety and community partnership.
