Davao City Library starts service connect series

The Davao City Library and Information Center (DCLIC) started the Flores de Mayo Mobile Library Service Community Connect Series on May 7, 2026.

Bookmobile and Disaster Education Head Arniel Enoc told Madayaw that on the first day, they visited the Gagmayng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKK) Wangan and GKK Tagakpan.

“Mao ni ang first activity namo sa Flores de Mayo. Whole month activity nani siya. Everyday iba-iba ang GKK among adtuan (This will be our first activity for the Flores de Mayo. This will be for the whole month. Each day, different GKKs will be catered to),” Enoc said.

Enoc said that the activities include Bible storytelling, arts and crafts, reading sessions related to the Bible, board games, and digital literacy.

The DCLIC has strengthened its literacy programs through the conduct of the Mobile Library Service: Community Connect Series, as part of its education-on-wheels program – in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan.

The DCLIC continues to innovate its mobile literacy programs by offering book reading, storytelling, arts and crafts, as well as educational play in diverse spaces, from parks to community centers.
