The Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC) reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the citys entrepreneurial ecosystem as it joined the celebration of MSME Week 2026, held from July 9 to 12 at the SM City Davao Annex.
Organized as a four-day showcase of Davaos thriving micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the event featured a wide range of locally made products and services, including premium food offerings, handcrafted goods, innovative non-food products, and emerging service-based businesses.
The event also brought together entrepreneurs, government agencies, and business support organizations to promote inclusive economic growth.
MSME Week also featured workshops and learning sessions designed to equip entrepreneurs with practical knowledge on business development, operational improvement, and strategies for scaling their enterprises in an increasingly competitive market.
Christian Cambaya, head of the Investor Assistance Servicing Unit of the Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC), said the centers participation in the event reflects its continuing role in supporting local businesses beyond investment promotion.
Our support for MSMEs extends to activities such as attending meetings, participating in trade fairs, and hosting launching ceremonies, among others, Cambaya told Edge Davao.
Cambaya said these initiatives strengthen collaboration between the local government and the business community while providing MSMEs with greater opportunities to connect with markets and expand their reach.
By taking part in MSME Week 2026, DCIPC underscored its commitment to creating an enabling business environment where local enterprises can flourish.
The center added that through sustained engagement and support programs, it continues to help build a resilient local economy driven by innovative and competitive Davao-based businesses.
