Inflation remains the top national concern of Filipinos, while staying healthy continues to be their biggest personal priority, according to the latest Tugon ng Masa (TNM) survey conducted by OCTA Research.
The survey found that 37% of adult Filipinos identified controlling the prices of basic goods and services as the country’s most urgent issue, down from 45% in March but still ranking first.
“Even with this decline, inflation continued to rank as the number one national concern, underscoring the continued importance of cost-of-living issues to Filipino households,” the survey said.
Improving workers’ wages remained the second top national concern at 34%, while concern over graft and corruption rose from 26% to 32%, making it the third most urgent issue.
“This makes corruption the third most urgent national concern cited by adult Filipinos, reflecting heightened public attention to issues of transparency, accountability, and integrity in government,” OCTA said.
Meanwhile, concern over providing free quality education increased from 17% to 22%, while reducing poverty dropped sharply from 20% to 12%, the lowest level recorded in the survey series.
On personal concerns, 65% of respondents said staying healthy and avoiding illness remained their top priority, followed by having enough food every day (47%), securing a stable and well-paying job (41%), and being able to save money (41%).
OCTA said the findings suggest that while worries over inflation have eased somewhat, cost-of-living issues, governance, health, food security, and financial stability continue to shape the concerns of Filipino households.
The non-commissioned survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 Filipino adults from July 4 to 11, 2026, with a ±3% margin of error at a 95% confidence level.
