Are you a Jurassic Park movie fanatic? Have you ever wanted to know how you would feel if you encounter real life dinosaurs?
Look no further because up there at Claud Maru in Marahan, Marilog District there’s a Dinosaur Park that offers a Jurassic Park vibe that you will definitely love.
Set up in lush foliage and trees are life-sized dinosaurs that move and roar with smoke effects that will give kids and kids at heart a thrilling ride.
The first time I visited Claud Maru was in 2022. The resort during that time was all about making a connection with nature and set in an untouched landscape (with the installation of some fixtures to make the property more attractive).
I recently able to revisit the place with my friends and I was impressed of its transformation with more exciting amenities.
I love how Alex P. Montanez (APM), popularly known as “Billboard King,” revamped Claud Maru.
Aside from the Dinosaur Park, there’s also the playland, which is a playground for kids with lifesize Avengers characters, swings, trampoline, and many more for a fun-filled day activities.
The Claud Maru River, which was used to be just a natural spring water under tall native trees that provide cool shade, is now an area of natural plunge pools with cottages that allow guests/visitors to enjoy not only the fresh and cool water but the rainforest and its habitat as well.
There’s also a lagoon where guests can enjoy the walking balloons, water bikes, kayak crystal, and boat rides. I tried the water bike and boat ride and it was really fun.
The upper portion of the resort is now called Hammock City featuring different types of irresistible charming and traditional hammocks, which are nice for resting and relaxation plus its view is a canopy of trees. The area is perfect spot to hang out with friends.
There’s more to see and experience at Claud Maru as it offers other exciting activities such as archery, ATV rides, billiards, arcade, mini golf, and many more.
Its restaurant is now also bigger, which serves a wide array of authentic local dishes like the heavenly “tinolang native na manok” and the “balbacua.”
For those who want to stay overnight, there are A-frame houses with tents that will surely make one feel truly at a summer camp, and cottages/houses.
If you want to satisfy your wanderlust, visit Claude Maru.
