Maya on the Block: The glorious Majestic Peak

Lent is a season for prayers, fasting, and readying our hearts for Easter. For a more meaningful observance of the Lenten season, devotees visit chapels or churches to pray and reflect.

This Lent, try mountaintop retreat for more solitude, secluded and to give yourself your full attention to the Almighty.

A few weeks before the Holy Week, selected Davao media practitioners attended the blessing and inauguration of Majestic Peak’s chapel in San Miguel, Barangay Marahan, Marilog District, Davao City.
Aside from the unique design of the property’s quaint chapel, it also has a breathtaking view of the nature.

Indeed, prayers and the view of mountains are a perfect combination for this season of Lent.

Majestic Peak is a 2.8-hectare property surrounded by pine trees, flowers, and beautiful scenery.

The place is a must-go-to destination for pilgrimage and it’s the perfect place to spend the Lent as you can do your penance here by scaling its 500-plus steps for the 14 Stations of the Cross with the last station atop the hill where a big cross is situated.

Apart from the chapel, Majestic Peak also unveiled its new installation – a huge red Sacred Heart monument overlooking the uplands and the foliage. There’s also two Bagobo houses that are exemplary spots to spend time admiring how great God’s creations are.

Looking at these sceneries remind us to always remember the immense love and grace of the Almighty and be grateful for His blessings in our lives.

Positioned as the newest religious tourism/faith tourism destination in Davao City, Majestic Peak is a place to nourish your body, mind, and spirit.
The place is also ideal for adventure, self-reflection,” and “me time.”

Thank you to our gracious hosts, Col. Richard and Dr. Maria Theresa Bad-ang.
