Seven developments. Seven photojournalists. Seven days.
To capture the excitement in some of its hottest developments, Filinvest tapped seven of the country’s renowned photojournalists in a unique project dubbed “7 Dreams on Lens”. The photo event captures the essence behind the company’s “7 Dreams” tagline, which refers to the more than 2,000 hectares of land it has developed to fulfill the dreams of 100,000 families nationwide. This translates to seven dreams per day for the past 40 years.
For seven days, the photojournalists toured and digitally captured Filinvest properties situated in various areas in the National Capital Region and in Cebu.
“We are very excited to show the photos to the public so they’ll have a better appreciation of the master-planned developments and patches of paradise that Filinvest offers,” said “7 Dreams on Lens” project leader and award-winning photojournalist Revoli S. Cortez, who holds the current world record for having the biggest photo mosaic.
Cortez had previously mounted and organized similar photo shoot tours dubbed “Seven Days” in the provinces of Cebu, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Eastern Samar, and Isabela. However, the Filinvest project “was the first time we did this for a company,” Cortez said.
The seven photojournalists in the “7 Dreams on Lens” and the Filinvest developments they captured on camera were:
Revoli Cortez for Laeuna de Taal, a 60-hectare Filinvest development situated along the Tagaytay mountain ridge, designed as the first nature-oriented, environmentally and culturally sensitive lakeside resort community. The development will consist of three residential enclaves – Bahia, Orilla, and the newly launched Arista. It also features the Lake Club, a first-class amenity area.
Edwin Bacasmas, Philippine Daily Inquirer’s multi-awarded photojournalist (Catholic Mass Media Award’s “Photographer of the Year”, Asian Press Photo Contest grand-prize winner) who shot Timberland Heights, a 677-hectare township offering a mountain suburban lifestyle and themed communities with a tropical Asian flavor. Mr. Bacasmas also digitally captured the themed communities of One Oasis, mid-rise buildings with resort-type amenities in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Veteran photojournalist Sonny Camarillo, also the official photographer of the Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant, who shot Nusa Dua in Tanza, Cavite, a 200-hectare farm lot development with a Balinese theme.
Bobby Ranoco of Reuters who shot Brentville, a Mediterranean-themed project near Alabang that features elegant homes, distinctive clusters and masterfully planned amenities. Ranoco also captured The Palms Country Club in the Filinvest Corporate City that offers the latest amenities in sports, dining and leisure activities.
Philippine Daily Inquirer’s multi-awardee lenswoman Lyn Rillon who shot Havila, a 300-hectare township that spans Antipolo, Angono and Taytay in Rizal. Each residential cluster (Villa Montserrat, Highlands Pointe, Forest Farms and Mission Hills) has its own set of amenities and community features. Residents enjoy breathtaking views of Laguna de Bay, sunsets and the urban skyline.
Marianne Bermudez of Manila Bulletin who captured the throbbing city of life, the Filinvest Corporate City or Filicity. This self-sustaining city is home to a shopping mall (Festival Supermall), leisure destinations (The Palms Country Club and Westgate), medical institutions (Asian Hospital and Medical Center), residential developments (La Vie, Entrata, Studio Two, to name a few), the preferred IT hub in the south (Northgate Cyberzone), and Alabang’s terminal hub (South Station).
Cebu Daily News’ Tonee Despojo, “Photographer of the Year” Hall of Fame awardee of the Cebu Archdiocesan Mass Media Awards, who shot Corona del Mar, a Spanish-Mediterranean resort-themed community in Cebu with beachfront homes facing the Bohol Strait and luxurious amenities amid the coastal ambience.
Through the magic of their lens and their unique vision, these seven photojournalists have captured every Filipino family’s dream to own a Filinvest home. “We invite everyone to build their dream with us,” said Filinvest Land, Inc. president and chief operating officer Joseph M. Yap.
