The DMC Urban Property Developers Inc. (DMC-UPDI) has officially offered for sale the condominium units of its Palmetto Place in Ma-a, Davao City. During the inauguration last Wednesday, Leonora P. Gutierrez, director of sales marketing, said that while the occasion was for the blessing of their newly built sales office, it was also a thanksgiving for having acquired licenses for their other two residences, Hacienda and Magallanes.
“Because we already have the licenses, the selling starts now,” she said. Recognizing the importance of the company’s partners, brokers and agents, and wishing to continue working with them, she added, “We still have plans for projects in Barakatan, Catalunan and Agusan which will be completed in the next 15 to 20 years.”
The Palmetto Place, the third condo project of the DMC-UPDI, and the fifth among the buildings to be turned over by December, has three storeys with 60 units, plus basement parking and roof deck, or a total of five levels.
This is supposed to be a ‘pocket’ subdivision, Gutierrez said, however, the property is classified as commercial. The advantage of this project, she added, is that it is located on company property. “It’s a big advantage. We own the property, we construct, and then we sell,” she said.
Starting its construction last March, the Palmetto Place project has a budget of about P300 million, according to Gutierrez. Its second building with five storeys for condo units will be built by the end the year as the plans are still being prepared.
It will have a total land area of 1.3 hectares, where complete amenities will be provided, such as swimming pool, playground and clubhouse. Nine units for commercial use are available at the ground floor facing the main road.
Screening prospective occupants in terms of religious preferences, the target buyers are mid-income earners and businessmen. One bedroom unit costs P1.2 M, two-bedroom units range from P2M to P3M, and three-bedroom units will cost P3.5M.
Gutierrez said 30 percent of the Palmetto Place has already been sold since its license was released last May. Acceptance of sales, inquiries by buyers and receipt of payments will be done at the sales office while adjacent to it is for sales presentations by the group of brokers assigned for the day.
