“The open spaces will give the residents a place for interaction, a nook to socialize and nurture camaraderie among their neighbors,” said Eric De La Costa of the amenities of ALSONS Properties’ latest project, the WOOD LANE.
Each Alsons project – the Woodridge Park, Las Terrazas, Ladislawa Garden Village and Fernwood – has these amenities and each has its distinctive look and feel that blend with the theme of the community.
For their newest community, the WOOD LANE, the attraction will be its privacy and exclusivity. It will be home to only 77 residents spread over the two-hectare patch making it the most exclusive enclave in the city. But this compact community will be as well appointed as its bigger siblings in the family of Alsons communities.
The village is gated, giving added security, and the amenities, swimming pool, and a children’s playground and park, will be the leisure offerings. At the core of these amenities, where the neighbors will meet and greet, commune and bond, is the cabaña- “the village family room.”
In choosing their creative partner in the design and development of the WOOD LANE amenities, their prime consideration would be to work with an artist who can visualize the WOOD LANE concept and interpret it. Alsons found it in Architect Leo Pariñas, Senior Architect and owner of the LPPA Group, a Manila-based firm, who has designed for other developers in Manila.
“His eagerness to work with us, experience and design aesthetics were the essential qualities that singled him out,” Alsons GM for Marketing & Business Units Eric De La Costa said when asked why he was identified as the perfect man for the job.

How would you best describe the WOOD LANE cabaña design?
Modest and relaxing. This one-storey common room for the village was carefully designed to reflect the Asian Contemporary motif.
What are the design treatments that will exude the Asian Contemporary theme?
The sensitivity to Asian Contemporary theme can be seen in the low-rise massing and the simple roof lines. The unobtrusive design creates a structure that would not overwhelm its surrounding but rather complement the natural beauty of the setting.
Simple architectural details and articulations were blended utilizing a refined and warm palette of colors and finish materials resulting in an ambiance of elegance and relaxing resort experience.
So, it’s like bringing the outside in, and emitting “the absence of division” feel?
Yes, there is a strong relationship created between architecture, landscaping, and the other outdoor features. The open and airy design of the cabaña blends seamlessly with the environment. It will be a very cozy place for the residents to hang out, in comfy couches and lounging chairs, while enjoying the splendid landscape.
The cabana, along with the other amenities, will be completed by the end of the year. This will be the best place for them to enjoy the benefits of urban living in a relaxed setting.
