Completion of DLI projects pushed back to 2 months

The completion of the two projects of Damosa Land Inc. (DLI), Seawind and Diamond Tower, is likely to shift at least two months off the target but still within what’s acceptable to the buyers.
DLI First Vice President Ricardo F. Lagdameo said that like most other projects, they will likely be experiencing delays in construction and delivery to their buyers due to the impact of COVID-19.
Both projects were on schedule to be completed this year.
“This is inevitable at this time, but something we will be able to manage,” he said.
DLI’s six-tower condominium project Seawind is nearing completion. The project, which has the view of the Davao Gulf and Samal Island, has topped off its 6th and last residential building.
The developer also recently topped off the 17-storey Diamond Tower at Damosa Complex in Lanang, Davao City. Upon completion, the building will house around 50 locators including the corporate offices of the Anflocor Group and DLI, expansive co-working spaces like Regus, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) companies.
Lagdameo said they are willing to downsize their workforce substantially to ensure safety. He assured that those who cannot work will be compensated during this period of no work or reduced work.
“First and foremost is the safety and welfare of our employees, construction workers included,” he said.
