This year’s 82nd Araw ng Davao celebration led by no less than City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is inspired by the people of Davao themselves.
No wonder Mayor Inday, who happens to be in vortex of controversies occasioned by the ongoing midterm election campaign, said “Ang Araw ng Davao is Araw ng Dabawenyo”.
The lady
mayor’s take is an honest tribute to the hardworking , law-abiding, responsible
and fun-loving citizens, whom she credits for making the city a better place to
live and a safer, practical place to invest.
Indeed, throughout the years, Davao City has grown to be the next business
capital of the country.
