“For this Kadayawan, Rhapsody Asian Fusion will have the Kadayawan Food Festival. It’s a bounty of harvest, so we feature all the local food that we have here in Davao,” said Jowie Guillar, Director of Food & Beverage at Aria Hotel & Residences. Priced at P1,899 net per person, buffet lunch and buffet dinner on August 16, featuring a live cultural performance. Guests can look forward to a celebration of the region’s abundant harvest through beautiful carvings, local dishes, and delightful creations, including Tuna Ceviche, Lechon Roll and local fruit-inspired desserts.
“We will use tuna loin, the best cut of tuna. We will grill it and pair it with the famous pork belly,” Guillar said.
Another local favorite making its way to the Kadayawan table is bulcachong. “Bulcachong is famous here. It’s popular here in Davao. I’m from Manila, whenever I visit here, this is something I always try,” he said.
For Aria, the celebration is not only about welcoming Dabawenyos. The hotel is also preparing for visitors arriving from outside the city to experience Kadayawan. “We’re not expecting only guests from Davao. We’re also expecting guests from different cities who are going to visit Davao, especially for Kadayawan,” Guillar said.
For those who want to turn the celebration into a relaxing getaway, the Kadayawan Staycation package offers an overnight stay in a Deluxe Room with breakfast for two at P7,299 net per room per night. Guests also receive a Kadayawan giveaway per stay, plus access to the gym and kids’ playroom, and a 10% discount on à la carte food and beverage orders. The package is available for booking and stays until August 31, 2026.

“If you are families coming in with kids, they are really very comfortable staying in the room because the size of our beds is big,” said Katherine Dizon, Director of Sales & Marketing.
The hotel is also making sure guests can take home a little piece of Davao.
“A souvenir item will be given to the guests staying in Aria. It’s really a unique gift from Davao. If they look into it, the gift is a symbol that they came to celebrate Kadayawan,” Dizon said.
