Roberto Cain ruled the Runner with Dog category of the 2009 Merco Run, October 25, in Davao City.
Cain crossed the finish line first, ahead of first runner-up Armand Lorden and second runner-up Bill Roger Pantanosas.
In the three-kilometer category, Keshir Abregon and Melanie Alfonso took the first spots while Jonel Boncit and Bethnise Moraldo bagged the five-kilometer division titles.
Conrado Jaro and Jocelyn Abregon came in third.
Dominador Casper lost to Boncit to settle for second place, followed by Michael Ian Constantino in third in the men’s division while Jocelyn Jaro and Emily Avergonzado finished 2-3 in the women’s side.
Hale Poliquit and Cynthia Jaro dominated the premier 10-kilometer race. Anthony Nerza followed Poliquit at second while Estela Mamac-Diaz settled for second place.
Elmer Bartolo and Necel Delina landed at third place.
