The Lady Knights meet the Medvil Black in the semifinal round of the Acosta Cup women’s football tournament on March 27 at the Tionko football field.
The Lady Knights barged into the next round after scoring a 3-0 win over Medvil Blue courtesy of Mally Ang who rolled in the goal in the 8th minute, Kim Maligad (13th minute) and Erika Turtur (23rd minute).
Medvil Black bested UP Mindanao Varsity via a higher goal difference, +7 to +5, to take the no.4 spot and join qualifiers Holy Child School of Davao and Philippine Women’s College.
The tournament is backed by Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte, Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta, City Sports Development Division, RDL Pharmaceutical Lab Inc., Jollibee JTC Davao, and MY Hotel.

The Hooligans stunned Medvil Football Club, 1-0, to remain undefeated in the Davao FA Cup 1st Division, March 14, at the Tionko field.
Allan Ray Fernandez found the next at the 22nd mark en route to their third win.
In the other game, KMMPC drew with Seagull/Porky’s Lechon, 4-4.
Davao Football Association secretary-general Erwin Protacio said the game between Columbia Computer Center FC and Davraa will be moved to a later date.
Davraa took part in the DepEd Regional Games in Bansalan, Davao del Sur over the weekend where they won and earned a ticket to the Palarong Pambansa next month in Tarlac.

Davao Sports Council Inc. president and Davao City councilor Peter Lavina represented Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte in a recent meeting of the 7th Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines EAGA Games.
Philippine Sports Commission chairman Harry Angping and Lavina discussed the hosting of the games that will be held in the country this year.
Brunei Darussalam hosted the 2008 edition and Indonesia had its turn in 2006.
Gen.Santos City first hosted the BIMP-EAGA Games in 1996 and other member countries took turns in hosting the event.
