Richard Whitney scored an 80 to bag the gross title in the guest division of the Apo Golf and Country Club Monthly Tournament, February 24 at the tree-lined Apo course.
Dondon Crisologo shared the limelight when he clinched the net division crown with a 64, five strokes better than lawyer Al Cobol.
Vic Gonzales lost to Whitney by three strokes to settle for gross runner-up honors.
In the seniors division, Amado Atilano fired a gross 79 to bag another trophy when he beat Osamu Ikeda who had an 81 while Alex Buyco won the net division with a 67 and CK Chang wound up as runner-up with a 70.
Emerging also as winners were Nonoy Ponce as gross champion and Hunson Co as net champion in class C; Ramon Tam Jr. as gross titlist and Patrick Tan as net champion in class B while Kunio Murata and Toshiaki Shinmura sizzled in class A as gross and net champions, respectively.
Apo general manager Martin Luke Misa awarded the trophies to the winners and congratulated the winners in behalf of the club’s board of directors headed by Ed Bangayan. [MOSES P. BILLACURA]
