Celestino “Al” Barretto is the president and chief executive officer of KarAsia Inc., an auto dealer, parts distributor as well as service and repair provider of Mitsubishi vehicles.
KarAsia Inc. was incorporated in 1982 and after facing some difficulties it was able to move to expand to other areas and continued to strengthen the dealershop network in terms of vehicle availability and full service facilities.
Barretto is on the top of things in maintaining a big share in the market due to a presentable set-up like their present location that is strategically located in Bajada to serve the north and south customers, quality of building, elegant display spaces coupled with high-tech service shop facilities with well-trained servicemen.
The best break for Barretto from all the stresses related to his work is to play golf.
Playing golf has always been a nice treat for himself in the company of good friends. The golf course is the best cite to him for relief from stress and all the pressures of car dealership in a very competitive market.
Aside from enjoying so much the sport, from the painstaking start like the building of KarAsia Inc. to a an enjoyable round for him like playing golf with ease, Barretto also heads a group called the People Obsessed In Golf (POGI) Boys.
The POGI Boys are currently busy promoting Davao as a premier golf destination by organizing the Mindanao Chairman’s Cup.
Barretto looks at the sport not just as an enjoyment but as a way to help promote Davao City as a tourist destination.
And so the POGI Boys are not stopping from organizing the event for the the third straight year.
