The Davao Football Association-Columbia Computer Center eleven settled for second place, enough for the squad to qualify to the Mindanao finals in November.
The Big City bets lost the South title of the Mindanao Filipino Premier League to the Davao del Norte Football Association, with North Cotabato FA third, Compostela Valley FA fourth and Maguindanao-Cotabato City FA in fifth place.
Davao del Norte annexed the title at the E-Park in Tagum City on June 1 after scoring an 8-2 win against North Cotabato on the final day. Manuel Aspellaga came up with a spectacular game with five goals (9th, 22nd, 63rd, 64th, 76th minutes) and teammates Nino Moreno, Noel Flores and Glen Bulaquina added one goal each.
Bonifacio Mangga and Jason Mar Lacamento contributed one goal each for North Cotabato.
Davao FC blanked Maguindanao-Cotabato City, 12-0, with Joey Arobo finding the net in the 43rd, 71st, 89th and 90th minutes. Jayric Iligan added four, Jason Mortillero fired three goals and Alan Ray Fernandez and Francis Philip Alcala rolled in one goal each.
