Zamora wins 4th Hizon Memorial class D crown

Roland Pete Zamora bagged the class D net title with 45 points, three points better than runner-up Jack Tan in the recent 4th Botoy Hizon Memorial Golf Tournament at the Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club.
John Oropeza of Phoenix Petroleum Philippines-Bonifacio Street outlet shared the limelight when he fired 23 points to take the gross title. Ronald Lu settled for the first runner-up honors with 19 points.
Cho Seung Ho posted a three-point win over Benjie Senining for the class C gross crown while Lito Laurel won via countback against Elindo Lo for the net title after both players tallied 44 points, apiece.
Joseph Ng registered a one-point victory over Victor Co for the class B gross title while Ben Gaite and Alex Rivera were tied for the net crown with 43 points which Gaite won via countback.
Ronald Galicia won the class A gross top honors with 37 points and Denden de Casto wound up at second place with 33 points while Tabbu Nelson joined the list of champions when he chalked in 43 points, just a one-point win over Tamio Sakurai.
Tibor Marcelino lifted the over-all gross champion’s trophy, Rico Trajano went home with the over-all net title and Mimi Siason smiled wide when she ruled the women’s division.
A total of 200 players joined the tournament organized to honor the late Vicente “Botoy” P. Hizon who is known for his philanthropic work in Brgy.Pampanga.  [Moses P. Billacura]
