Zonta/Muslim and Tambayan B topped the Football For Good category of the Mayor Inday Sara and Vice Mayor Rody Duterte-Kadayawan football tournament, August 21, at the Tionko field.

“The tournament provides a meaningful experience for the participants to interact and break down any barriers, socially, economically, culturally and spritually, that only sports can provide,” said Davao Football Association general secretary Erwin Protacio.
In the other categories, Ateneo de Davao dominated the 16 under, 14 under and women’s open.
Ateneo bested the visiting Digos squad in the 16 under final while Davao City National High School settled for third place. A total of 14 teams joined the category.
Ateneo downed Central Mindanao University A-Kidz in the 14 under final while Holy Child School of Davao took third place honors. A total of 19 squads joined the category.
The Ateneo Lady Knights trounced Philippine Women’s College while UP Mindanao Alumnae managed to take third place in the women’s class that attracted a total of nine teams.
The tournament was organized by the DFA in cooperation with the Davao City Sports Development Division, Ateneo de Davao United Football Club, Davao Association of Tour Operators and the CWTS Class of UP Mindanao. [Moses P Billacura]
