Golfer of the Week – Ed Guevara

Ed Guevara is a doctor who loves to play golf.
There are many doctors who have taken up the sport as a way of giving themselves a break from the hectic schedule of being a medical practitioner, and Doc Ed just loves it.
No, he is not gunning for top honors, because that has never been his target when he started playing.
But, when winning titles comes his way, he simply savors the sweet feeling with his friends just like what they did after their Amiya squad ruled the Dynasty Cup at the Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club.
In the 9th Rancho Palos Verdes Monthly Medal Tournament last September 25 to 26, Doc Ed finished runner-up with a 68 in class C, just one shot short of net champion John Seguenza. Gross champion was PJ San Pedro who shot an 85 while Boy Arriba settled as runner-up with an 86.
Engaging in physical activities like playing golf is one way of keeping himself fit, but the most important part is to connect with good buddies who, during the rounds, can afford to give a very good laugh.
Stress is part of everyday work, but on the golf course Doc Ed just simply forgets about work and enjoyss the scenery, especially when he plays at the Rancho Palos course.  [Moses P. Billacura with Philip Daytic]
