Arnold Navales and Vincent Gumapac shared the limelight in the 2011 Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club Monthly Medal Tournament for April.
Gumapac shot a 70 for the over-all gross title while Navales finished with a 63 for the over-all net crown.
Emerging class champions were Bobby Wee (gross 77) and Horiuchi Shigenubo (net 69) in class A, Jung In Kyu (gross 77) and Lee Jae Un (net 64) in class B, Boy Arriba (gross 85) and Andy Ugdoracion (net 66) in class C, Pol Leuterio (gross 93) and Jun Canedo (net 70) in class D.
Janes Villegas submitted an 85 to win the women’s gross division title over Park Young Ran who had a 90 while Han Guen Gee won by four strokes over Beth Crisologo (70) for the net crown.
In the senior’s division, Ting Castillo bested Tamio Sakurai (78) by two strokes for the gross crown while Louie Brodeth finished with a net 66 for a two-stroke victory over Dr.Faisal Samanodi in the net class.
Bill Donohoe’s 90 gave him the gross title in the super senior’s division while Vic Gonzales’ 68 was enough for the net crown. [MPB with Philip Daytic]
