Adidas Run almost closed

Almost all the available slots for the coming adidas King of Davao Run (KODR) on September 4 have been filled up. Race organizer Monchit Mackay of RunClub Davao said, “We were surprised with the warm reception and early registration by the runners.” The longest distance in the run, 15 kilometers, was the first to be filled up. “There are many veteran runners who chose the 15K and want to be challenged,” Mackay added.

The run will start at Rancho Palos Verdes Sports & Country Club at Riverfront Corporate City near Davao Crocodile Park, take the diversion road up to barangay Langub and back.

The Davao Children’s Cancer Fund Inc. (DCCFI) has been chosen the beneficiary of the KODR. The DCCFI is a non-profit charity organization whose advocacy is to help and care for indigent children with cancer. “The survival rate for children with cancer is good as long with early detection and proper medication,” Dr. Mae Dolendo of DCFII said.

Along with RunClub Davao, the DCCFI aims to promote a healthy lifestyle.
