Registration is ongoing for the 1st Padyak Para Kay Boyd Fun Ride at Mindanews, Mindanao Times, 3MJ Trading and Inquirer offices.
The ride is to raise funds for patients of the Mindanao Burn Center and in memory of Gene Boyd “Boboy” Lumawag.

He would have turned 33 years old this November.

Liga Dabaw Public High Schools Basketball Tournament’s opening ceremony was moved to November 5 at the UM Matina campus.
Liga chairman Willie Torres, vice-chair Atty. Mans Carpio, directors Junjun Ramirez of Cortess Printing, Glen Escandor of Royal Mandaya Hotel, Christopher “Bong” Go of the vice mayor’s office, Jazmin Middleton of Blujaz Resorts, DepEd assistant schools division supt. Eva Antipuesto, SBP regional director Regino “Boy” Cua and board member Atty. Reuben Abarquez will be on hand to welcome the competing teams.
Mayor Sara Zimmerman Duterte has been invited as special.

Brokenshire College’s Anthony Nerza snatched a bronze medal in the recent 16th National University Games in Capiz.
He clocked 10 minutes in the 3,000-meter race topped by Roger Denolo of UST. UE’s Richard Salano finished second for the silver medal.
Holy Cross of Davao College’s Neil Bunag leaped to the 6.52-meter mark to take a bronze medal in the men’s long jump ruled by UST’s Marvin Cupernario (6.8 meters) while Janry Ubas of FEU settled for the silver (6.69 meters).

Team Phoenix Fuels Moo Duk Kwan announced that martial arts world champion Steve S. Grandeza’s fight this month has been moved by Manila organizers to November 25.
The champion is back in training to make the necessary adjustments to reach the peak of his preparation this month.
