Solido FC wins in Eden

Solido FC swept all its matches to emerge champions in the recently-concluded 2nd TMS Shipping Inc. Football Summer Invitationals Tournament held at the Eden Nature Park turf.
Solido dominated a tough field composed of TMS FC, M7 United FC, and Uno Ayala’s Eden FC.
Solido FC was composed of brothers Buboy Arrieta and Arrieta, Jay Miguel, Matthew Mark Descallar, Chuck Tabamo, George Valenzona, Ace Barlaan, Kert Dalipe, Christopher Toribio, Walter Vilacencio, and expats Olivarrod and Raul (both Brazilians) and Brandon (Nigerian).
The tournament format was a single round system of play with 15 minute halves.
Cocoy Arrieta was adjudged best keeper of the tournament while Toto Alcala of TMS FC got the best midfielder award while Jay Miguel got the best striker award after scoring 4 goals, and Matthew Mark Descallar was named the best defender of the tournament.
TMS shipping Inc. manager and former De La Salle Greenhills football standout Carlos Veloso committed to sponsor the Eden FC boys in all DFA tournaments in the absence of sponsr Uno Ayala who is currently in Australia.
The tournament’s new balls were also given to the Eden FC players by TMS to encourage them to play more games in the hgih-altitude facility. Solido FC also installed new nets at Eden Nature Park goal posts.
