From the courtroom to the fairways, lawyer Ramon Edison Batacan has mastered his playground.
The golfing senior partner of BMV Law Firm put his shotmaking prowess to the hilt, mastering the scenic but tricky Tagaytay Midlands course in Talisay, Batangas to emerge with the lowest net scorecard in the Republic Defenders Golf Classic last November 23.
Combining a brilliant long game with pinpoint accuracy around the greens, Batacan outscored a huge field of 160 parbusters to win the prestigious pennant.
The RD Golf Classic was participated in by members of the Republic Defenders and some guests. Republic Defenders is composed of “private citizens” who are “bound together to defend the Republic, its Constitution, and whoever is the President.”
The charity golf tournament was staged for the rebuilding of the war-torn Marawi City.
Batacan, who has a number of wins across his name including the PAL Mabuhay Golf Classic, received a trophy and merchandise for his win.
