Temporarily closed down Arcadia Fitness Gym backs Covid-19 fight

Arcadia Fitness Gym responded in support to the community quarantine directive of the city government by temporarily closing down the facility beginning last March 19.
In an announcement posted on its social media page, Arcadia Fitness Gym said, “Following the recent developments and the directive for Davao City to be placed under community quarantine, Arcadia Fitness Gym will be closed in compliance with RA 11332 on March 19, 2020 until further notice.”
The gym management likewise explained that while under temporary closure, all memberships will be put on hold and membership freeze fees will be waived until the gym re-opens.
“We appreciate your continuous understanding during this time and look forward to welcoming you back soon,” said the statement.
Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio placed the entire city under community quarantine, a move that is one step short of locking down the area, as Davao City and many local governments expressed alarm over the panic migration of Metro Manila residents to their hometowns and setting up a likely nightmare of nationwide contagion of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Mayor Duterte-Carpio issued Executive Order 10 on Sunday morning declaring “the entire Davao City under community quarantine.”
