As rare as it can get, scoring a hole-in-one couldn’t get any better than this.

Playing in the country’s most prestigious team tournament, Enzo Magno of Rancho Palos Verdes scored his first hole-in-one during the first round of the 75th Philippine Airlines Interclub Men’s tournament at the Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club on Friday.

Magno, son of Presidential Assistant for Eastern Mindanao Secretary Leo Tereso Magno, scored the rare ace on Pueblo’s 185-yard sixth hole in the company of flightmates Romeo Degolacion, Nilo Seno, and Hong Ky Kyang.

The youthful stalwart of RPV pulled out a 6-iron then hit a flawless drive with the Titleist no. 11 ball landing on the green before disappearing to the cup.

Magno finished the round with a team-high 26 points. Leo Yap and EJ Casintahan both had identical 25s for RPV’s 76 total for the day. However, they sit way below at 16th place in the tough Founders Division led by Cebu Country Club with a 98. Jose Simeon Gonzales’ 24 did not count.

Apo Golf and Country Club sat a point ahead of RPV at 77 behind Miguel Angelo Fusilero (27), Karloz Alba (26) and Jose Addy Briones (24).
