A strong field of 200 parbusters are expected to enjoy the golfing fellowship in the First Sir Jonathan D Montillo Memorial Golf tournament to be held on Saturday March 9,2024 at the challenging Apo Golf and Country Club.
“This tournament is co presented by our family in memory of our father, the Very worshipful & Illustrious Sir Jonathan D. Montillo, an avid golfer and a great philanthropist and by the Davao Masonic Lodge #19” bared Chuki Ortega, tournament director and daughter of the late philanthropist.
Here’s the details that needs to be known by the golfers.
A shotgun start will be applied on 6:00am and 11:00 am with the application of Individual Stroke play format using the Molave System basing on golfer’s latest handicap.
Golfers will be classified into six (6) categories namely, Class A (Handicap 0-9), B (Handicap 10-18), C (Hndcp19-27), Ladies Division A (0-18), Division B (19-27) and the Seniors to accommodate maximum number of golf participants. There will be two winners in each class, Gross and Net Champion, and runners up.
Registration fee is peg at 4,000 pesos to cover the Green Fee, mulligan, snacks, dinner buffet and a raffle ticket for the awarding ceremony. Each participant will receive a giveaway upon registration.
Home appliances and merchandise consisting of a 55-inch Smart TV, a refrigerator, Mobile Phones and Tablets, Washing machine, a Garmin range finder and Gift certificates await the lucky golfer who will hit the jackpot in all Par 3’s during the tourney.
Dinner and raffle of prizes will follow at the clubhouse of the Apo Golf and Country Club starting at 5:30pm.
All proceeds of this tournament will go to the following beneficiaries; Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) Burn Unit, the SPMC Shriners Ward for Children with Club Foot, the House of Hope Orphanage, the Maharlika Charity Foundation Inc. and the DML 149 Scholarship Foundation (Davao Masonic Lodge).
