Apo Golf team mainstay Roderick “Odik” Lo grabbed the overall gross crown with his masterful 4 over par 76 in the 2025 SFOSA-Boyz Flyte Golf tournament at the Apo Golf and Country Club on Friday March 21,2025.
Nineteen-handicapper Ernie Quijada, meanwhile,shared the limelight by taking home the overall net plum with his net 67 made on extreme heat conditions at the Apo Golf.
“We are happy for the turnout of participants considering it is held on a weekday and on a very short notice. However, the support given to us is very much appreciated most especially to our brother Masons and friends, marami pong salamat” said Eking Atillo, tournament director. “Your support will come a long way, this is a big help to the grade schoolers of the Talomo Central Elementary School, our beneficiary for this tournament.”
Jake Ortega topped the Class A division Gross with his 81 while veteran golfer Larry Baluso took home the Class A net plum with his net 75.
Class B winner was led by Jeremiah Co with his Gross 85 followed by Engr Chito Malabanan who tallied 91 as Gross runner up. Charlie Bien and Lito Caballero complete the podium for Class B as the Net champion and Net runner up winners respectively.
Class C winner was led by N Vasquez (95) who won over Mr. A Aba by a stroke for the Gross Title while Mr. Avancena (69) won via countback over Atty Banzali for the Net diadem.
“SFOSA golf tournament is one of the longest running charity golf by the Masonry that dated back to our early years in Lanang golf and we are glad that you have supported our cause through the years” Atillo concluded during the awarding program.
