A new chapter begins for Francis Escandor in the PBA.

After a quiet rookie season with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, the former De La Salle Green Archer has found a new home with the Phoenix Fuel Masters, signing a two-year deal confirmed by team manager Paolo Bugia.

Escandor, joined by his representative Marvin Espiritu, was officially welcomed by Bugia and team governor, PBA Board treasurer Atty. Raymond Zorilla during the contract signing.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to be part of Phoenix,” said the sweet-shooting 6-2 guard Escandor. “It’s a fresh start, and I’m ready to work hard and contribute in any way I can.”

Drafted 13th overall in the second round last year, Escandor saw limited action with Rain or Shine before being released alongside veteran big man Mark Borboran. Phoenix quickly stepped in, offering the young guard a chance to reboot his career and prove his worth.

With a fresh opportunity and a team eager to invest in his potential, Escandor is poised to make the most of his second shot in the pros.

“We believe Francis has the tools and the mindset to grow with our team,” said Bugia. “He’s hungry, coachable, and ready to prove himself.”
