DAVAO CITY – The final day of the legacy division competition witnessed a masterclass in pressure performance as Team Eagle Ridge and Country Club staged a stunning late-game blitz to seize the championship plum. Entering the clubhouse with a formidable four-day total of 532 Molave points, Eagle Ridge turned a competitive field into a one-team show on the tournament’s most critical day.
Eagle Ridge’s final day surge of 138 points was nothing short of clinical. The charge was spearheaded by their relentless Korean duo: You Hwan An, who carded a brilliant 52, and Tong Wa Lee, who followed with a 51. The powerhouse pair was ably supported by Bienvenido Guevarra, whose steady 43 ensured the team remained untouchable at the top of the leaderboard.
Local favorites, Davao City Golf Club, put up a valiant fight to secure the runner-up spot. Despite a final-day push of 132 points but couldn’t overcome the deficit built by Eagle Ridge. Davao’s charge was led by Joel Yamyamin’s masterful 50-point output, complemented by Andrew Bautista’s 44 and 38-point contributions from both Godfrey
Costinares and Rey Masing.
Meanwhile, Negros Occidental Golf (NOGCC) completed a remarkable comeback to claim third place. Rebounding with a solid 121-point output on the final day, they successfully leaped over two-day leader Apo Golf and Country Club. In a heartbreaking turn of events, Apo Golf collapsed under the final-day pressure, posting an anemic 109 points, their lowest score of the four-day event.
In the Aviator Division, the tension has reached a fever pitch heading into the final round. Brittanika Team B ignited the leaderboard with an explosive 118-point performance, vaulting them into a tie for the lead with Lanang Golf Club. Both teams sit at the helm with 355 total points.
The race for the podium remains wide open as Guinhalaran and Mimosa Plus sit deadlocked in third place with 348 points each. With only seven points separating the leaders from the chasing pack, the final day is shaping up to be a true battle royale.
The Founders division has become a strategic grind, with Sherwood Hills currently holding the advantage at 435 points. They are pursued closely by Tagaytay Highlands Team IMG (428) and Valley Golf (421), setting the stage for a dramatic three-way showdown for the trophy.
In the elite Championship Division, the defending champions have sent a clear message to the field. Del Monte Golf Club stormed back into contention by firing a massive 153 points. The charge was led by the twin 53s of Romeo Jaraula and Ramon Velez, backed by a 47 from Crispin Aparilla, bringing their total to 449.
However, the round of the day belonged to Luisita, who carded a blistering 154 points. This surge moved them into second place (447 total), trailing Del Monte by a razor-thin margin of just two points.
Overnight leader Canlubang suffered a catastrophic third day, misfiring with a modest 137 points. The slump relegated them to third place (439), leaving them eight points behind Luisita and nine points clear of fourth-placed Camp Aguinaldo Golf (430). As the Premiere Division heads into its final day, the leaderboard is primed for one of the most exciting finishes in recent memory.
