Not even the threat of a late-afternoon rain could dampen the spirits of the massive field that gathered at the Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
The ForeEver Golf 5.0 Father’s Day Golf Classic proved to be a resounding success, drawing no less than 250 golfers who packed the course across two shotgun tee times at 6:00 AM and 11:30 AM. While the morning flight enjoyed relatively smooth sailing, the afternoon field faced a dramatic showdown with Mother Nature. With just two holes remaining, dark skies threatened a heavy downpour, but the brave field pushed through, successfully completing their rounds just before darkness consumed the course.
When the final scorecards were tabulated, familiar names ascended to the top of the leaderboard.
Low Gross Champion: Perennial winner EJ Casintahan successfully defended his crown in spectacular fashion. Casintahan fired a blistering 6-under-par 66—translating to a massive 60 Molave points to secure his third Low Gross title in the last five stagings of the tournament.
Overall Net Champion: Not to be outdone, the equally talented Ryan Hidalgo put on a masterclass of his own. Playing off a 25-handicap, Romero carded a sensational 17-under net total, translating to a tournament-high 71 Molave points to walk away with the overall net trophy.
Following the grit on the greens, the atmosphere shifted to pure celebration during the awarding ceremony. The San Josue Resort Function Hall came alive with music, overflowing food, and drinks, keeping the energy high as golfers eagerly waited for their names to be called during the highly anticipated raffle draw.
During the program, Tournament Director Paul Garcia expressed his deep gratitude to the sponsors, friends, and participants who made the milestone fifth edition possible, vowing an even bigger and better tournament next year for its 6th edition.
Atty. Ed Batacan, the group’s first president and spiritual adviser, also took the stage to pay tribute to the golfer-fathers. He hailed their unique ability to balance time and effort, praising their unwavering support for the noble projects spearheaded by The ForeFathers group through the years.
