Tagum City – Anthony G. del Rosario has stepped up his pursuit for Change in tandem with his unrelenting drive as the lead man in the Noynoy Aquino for President Movement. Anthony, known for his acronym AGR, has launched another movement dubbed as Alay Sa Pagbabago. “We have to be demonstrative of what we want the people should expect for in our objective for Change”, he said. “If you don’t see me in my office at the provincial capitol, it is because the members of our Movement for Change has fanned out to the municipalities”, AGR said. Alay sa Pagbabago is bringing medical and dental services to the far-flung communities, he said. He also said that they have started with skills development program parallel to the capability-building strategy which are designed to enhance the Minimum Basic Needs under the RDR WHEELS project. AGR said that for the movement for Change to succeed and be engrained in everybody, we added another important component in the Alay project. “These include spiritual and moral recovery counseling and a sustained information campaign on drug abuse”. He said that Davao del Norte is the only province in the Philippines which has a well-equipped Drug Rehabilitation Center. “In fact, Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared that center which is located in New Corella as a Regional Drug Rehabilitation Center and provided it with an initial P10-million fund”, AGR bared. AGR also said that as they bring the movement from town to town, they also conduct lectures and information drive on the automated elections which will be used for the first time in the country during the May 10 elections. AGR is the Chief Executive Assistant to the Office of his father, Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario. He is also the current sports coordinator. Months ago he resigned from the ruling party to spearhead the Movement for Change and then later the Noynoy Aquino for President Movement. For these unprecedented undertakings, Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas visited first the province of Davao del Norte and launched their provincial sorties from there. AGR is part of the Liberal Party Central Committee core planner and strategists. LP has also named him the congressional candidate in the 1st district of Davao del Norte. Before the filing of Certificates of Candidacy last December 1, 2009, AGR and his father, Governor del Rosario along with the members of Lakas-CMD in the first district of the province were sworn-in into the Liberal Party.
