Governor asks for closer ties with local officials

Governor-elect Rodolfo del Rosario has again called for a closer working relationship with all the local officials of Davao del Norte in pushing the thrusts, programs and projects of his administration in the next three years.
Recognizing their support of his undertakings during his previous terms as governor, Del Rosario asked for the “unequivocal support and cooperation” of local officials in the delivery of basic services and in achieving the vision, mission and goals of the provincial government.
“I hope to be working with you again on more projects that serve the needs of our entire constituency,” the governor told municipal officials of New Corella on their recent oath-taking ceremony during the town’s 43rd founding anniversary.
The governor said his next term will refocus on livelihood and employment opportunities, health care and education programs in order to place the people right at the center of development.
In his previous terms, the governor caused to be built crucial hard infrastructures that resulted in hastening development of Davao del Norte.
This time around, the governor intends to focus his energy on programs that are critical in realizing progress in human development.
Programs on livelihood, health and education, he said, are designed to enlarge the choices of the people and enhance their human capabilities.
“With the backing of the people, I don’t think anything is impossible,” he said, borrowing the words of President-elect Benigno Aquino III who will take his oath of office on June 30.
The governor administered the oath of office of New Corella Mayor Nestor Alcoran and the rest of the local officials during the town’s 43rd founding anniversary.
