A-ION vows to advance lot of local information officers

Newly-installed officers of the Association of Information Officers of Davao del Norte (A-ION) vowed to improve the lot of all its members and to strengthen their vital role as communicators of government policies, thrusts, programs and activities.
Their formal installation into office last October 26, 2010 was made by lawyer Jesus Dureza, former presidential assistant for Mindanao and concurrent chair of the Mindanao Development Authority.
The association aims to foster fellowship, cooperation and unity among government information officers in the municipal, city, provincial levels, as well as the national line agencies in Davao del Norte, among  other objectives.
PIA DavComVal Manager Jean Abangan said the association seeks to energize the information network under the concept of public-private partnership, which Governor Rodolfo del Rosario espouses to propel inclusive development in the province.
The A-ION officers include: president, Noel Baguio; vice president, Noel Daquioag; secretary, Cromwell Bonghanoy; treasurer. Ma. Jandelie Espanola, and auditor, Vedastito Galvez. The board directors are Virginia Perandos,  Narciso Jadraque,  Christie Jean Ganiera, and Cesar Jolejole.
