Compostela Valley province—Speaking in front of his colleagues in public service, Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy humbly recalls the milestones achieved by the Provincial Government of Comval in the past year.
“Sa niaging tuig, kita nagdala og paglaum, kabag-uhan ug panaghiusa. We were able launch different programs that aim to enhance the quality of life of the Comvaleños. We were able to continue our social programs, extend assistance to the needy and bring peace in our communities,” the governor said in his message during the employees’ regular Monday convocation on January 8, 2018 at the Capitol lobby.
Some of the programs that was successfully launched last year includes the Kusina ng Kalinga Program and Liwanag ng Pamilya Program.
The Governor also expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the hard work and cooperation of everyone.
“The success that our programs enjoyed is first and foremost, a product of the hard work everyone in the Provincial Government displayed. Sa inyong tanan, daghang salamat!,” the governor ended as he looks forward for another year of change, hope and unity among his officials and employees in rendering genuine public service.
Meanwhile, on the same event, Gov Uy spearheaded the MOA signing of two different programs in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
Dr. Reynante Solitario, as the Schools Division Superintendent of the Department of Education ComVal Division Office, signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Work Immersion Program. The program will have the Senior High School students to immerse as public servants at the capitol to render a span of 80 hours of service.
Highlighting the importance of internet connection in times of disaster, the Governor also signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Free Public Wifi access and the Tech 4 Ed for the province with DICT Mindanao Cluster III Director, Alimbzar P. Azum.
“Ang probinsya, usa sa agianan na sa mga natural disaster, the more that Compostela Valley needs a strong connectivity sa signal sa atong internet o atong cellphone. Kay gusto ta nga preparado permanente when it comes to disaster,” the Governor said. (sheldane mahinay/ID Comval)
