THE Commission on Elections in the Davao region has yet to release to media the complete list of candidates who filed their certificate of candidacy in the May 13, 2013 mid-term elections.
Edge Davao requested for a copy of the list yesterday afternoon from the Comelec regional here but the request was denied by a staff in the absence of a formal written request.
New Comelec regional director Wilfred Jay Balisado and legal counsel Danilo Cullo were not around to clarify the matter. The staff said they were attending a meeting.
Balisado only reported for work on October 3 although his transfer order was dated last September 20. He was supposed to swap positions with then Comelec 11 director Remlane Tambuang who was assigned to Region 12.
A Comelec administrative order had directed all regional offices to forward the list of candidates to the central office in Manila for consolidation on or before yesterday.
