There will be three sets of water service interruptions scheduled first week of April to give way to Davao City Water District’s separate systems improvement projects.
First set is a seven-hour water cut on April 3 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM affecting Jade Valley Phase III and NCCC Village. DCWD’s Engineering and Construction (EC) crew will tap the newly installed 100mm diameter Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipeline to the existing 100mm diameter PVC pipeline for the mainline improvement at Abellar Compound in Jade Valley Phase III. Approximately 30 new service connections can be accommodated once this Php 173,968.96 project is completed.
Second set is scheduled for eight hours on April 5 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will affect the entire Keith Williams in Catalunan Pequeño. The EC crew will tap the newly installed 4-inch diameter PVC pipeline to the existing 4-inch diameter PVC pipeline for the mainline improvement at Purok 20 in Keith Williams. Upon completion of this project which costs Php 64,145.94, approximately 18 new connections can be served.
Third set is also on April 5 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM affecting Sitio Felomina and Sarpha Village in Catalunan Grande. This water cut is needed in order to allow DCWD’s EC crew to condemn the existing 3-inch diameter PVC pipeline as part of DCWD’s pipe re-alignment project at Sitio Felomina.
DCWD acting general manager Edwin V. Regalado appeals to the would-be affected customers for their understanding and cooperation. Likewise, he advises them to store enough water prior to the scheduled water interruptions as water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
