City Hall employees to get P20-T signing bonus each

Christmas will be coming early for regular employees of the city government.
This developed after Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) chair of the committee on finance, ways and means Danilo Dayanghirang announced that the P160 million signing bonus for regular employees will be included in the proposed Supplemental Budget SB) No.2.
“Malipay napud atong mga emplyedo ani (Our regular employees will be happy for this ),” Dayanghirang said during the Kapehansa Dabaw at SM City Annex Monday.
The SB 2 measure will be discussed after 78thAraw ng Davao celebration and Holy Week in April.
Dayanghirang said that under the collective negotiation agreement (CNA) between the City Government and 2,676-member of Davao City Hall Employees Association (DACHEA), each employee will receive P20,000.
Collective Negotiation Agreement or CNA is a “contract negotiated between an accredited employee’s organization as the negotiating unit and the employee/management on the terms and conditions of employment and its improvements that are not fixed by law.”
“The city government has already granted these employees an initial of P5,000,” he said.
All rank-and-file employees of the city government occupying position listed under the approved Plantilla of Personnel of Agency, including co-terminus position in the city council, will receive the signing bonus that is considered as a financial assistance by the government to City Hall employees.
“We’re expecting to have SB2 of which 20K will be given to all city government employees who are part of the agreement,” Dayanghirang said.
He recalled that the agreement was made by the City Government and DACHEA, a union registered under the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Aside from signing bonus, the councilor said the City Council has already approved the P5.8-billion 2015 budget and the P600 million loan from the Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) for the environment management program of the city.
The loan will be used for the acquisition of new garbage bins for the whole city. CRC
