6.4 quake causes mild panic in Davao

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake shook Davao and Cotabato areas at about 7:37 o’clock last night causing a mild panic specially in coastal areas where a sudden low tide was observed by the people.

Dabawenyos residing in the seaside barangays of Matina Aplaya and Talomo evacuated to higher grounds.

However calm was restored after they were assured by authorities that there was no tsunami alert

The strong quake shook a wide area in North Cotabato, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental and Davao City, among others.
