Davao Covid-19 Task Force spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser said that the city government of Davao has received more Pfizer anti-Covid-19 vaccines and urged Dabawenyos to get vaccinated especially that the 25 City Health Office (CHO)-managed vaccination sites, as well as the Bakuna Nights hubs, are now accepting walk-ins.
“Fortunately, daghan gyud ta karon og vaccines that is why ginaengganyo nato ang tanang katawhan, ang atong 25 CHO-managed vaccination sites are now accepting walk-ins because of the fact nga daghan kaayo ta og allocated vaccines, particularly Pfizer,” Schlosser said on Friday during the Bida Bakunado program of Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR).
The Department of Health (DOH)-Davao Region has received a total of 994,500 Pfizer vaccines donated by the United States government through the COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) Facility last week and of this figure, Davao City was allocated 468,000 doses.
Schlosser said that interested vaccinees can register onsite and must only bring a valid ID, Safe Davao QR, and ballpen.
“Katong previous months nato pinakaproblema sa atong katawhan gusto sila magpa-vaccine dili sila ka avail kay dili allowed ang walk-in. Hulaton pa ang ilang prioritization o priority groups pero karon they can avail of the vaccine sa tanang mga hubs,” she said.
She encouraged Dabawenyos to avail the vaccine to whatever vaccination hub nearest to them.
The city government of Davao has opened additional hubs for the Bakuna Nights. From the original site at San Roque Elementary School, NCCC Mall Buhangin has also launched its Bakuna Nights on October 8, 2021.
Meanwhile, SM Lanang Premier and SM City Davao will also hold Bakuna Nights every Friday starting October 22, 2021.
“We are going to pilot test that. Kung daghang tao, ipadayon nato,” Schlosser said.
