SEC-Davao issues advisories against investment schemes

The Security and Exchange Commission-Davao (SEC-Davao) has issued advisories on emerging investment schemes warning the public to exercise caution when dealing with individuals or groups soliciting investments for and on their behalf.

Some of these entities are operating within the area of responsibility of SEC-Davao namely Astrazion International, Astrazion Noble Task Community Foundation and Astrazion Global Holdings Inc; Wellcons Unlimited Systems Inc; “DYMs”/Double your money; LFC Football/LFC Football Philippines/LFC Football Platform/ LMB Football; and BF Football/BF Football Investment Platform/BF Football Hedge Fund Investment Platform.

SEC-Davao issued 44 advisories on March 17, 2022 against organizations involved in investment schemes, 116 advisories last year and 123 in 2020, while in 2019 it recorded the presence of 65 investment schemes in Davao Region.

“Advisories pa lang sila. Ito yung mga nakita namin Astrazion, mga football, betting pero may ornament of scheme kaya flagdown ng SEC. DYM or Double Your Money, parang invest ka lang, pinalabas na 20 percent. Advisories pa lang naman ito but kahit advisories pa lang ito, this is a warning to the public na huwag ng mag invest sa mga ganitong schemes,” said lawyer Katrina Ponco- Estares, director of SEC-Davao, during the weekly Kapehan sa Dabaw.

Recently, SEC-Davao also issued a cease and desist order against Alphanetworld Corporation, which is doing business under the name and style of NWorld, BF Football/B, F MetroSport/BF Football Investment Platform/BF Football Hedge Fund Investment Platform, and LMB Football.

The commission also issued orders of revocation against MASSDROP Marketing and Franchising OPC and MDM Ventures Corporation, SCENTKOWORLD Corporation and Brendhal Cruz Holdings, Inc. and IPC Philcom. Ph. Inc.

“Sa mga tao nga na-scam if it’s too good to be true huwag na kayong mag engage sa kanila,” Estares said.
