Rigo to Dabawenyos: Avail of ‘Lingap’ services, programs

Dabawenyos are urged to avail of the services of the “Lingap Para sa Mahirap” program of the city government of Davao.

Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, son of Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, said Dabawenyos are fortunate for being provided of this kind of service by the city.

“Lingap Para sa Mahirap” is a program of the city government of Davao for indigent Dabawenyos needing hospital financial assistance, funeral/burial assistance and pharmaceutical assistance.

“Ang Lingap gihimo ni siyang accessible para sa atong mga indigents na mga residente nga nanginahanglan ug assistance,” he said.

Last year, the city government of Davao opened four satellite offices in Toril, Marilog, Bunawan Proper, and Paquibato to cater to the increasing number of people seeking medical help.

On Friday, the city government of Davao opened the “Lingap Para sa Mahirap” satellite office in Calinan District.

Putting up satellite offices under the “Lingap Para sa Mahirap” program aims to decongest the Lingap main office at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) and to assist as many Dabawenyos as possible.

The Calinan satellite office is expected to cater 50 to 100 Dabawenyo beneficiaries per day.

Meanwhile, in 2021, the city government launched an online platform for requesting medical assistance under the “Lingap” for a more efficient contactless transaction.

“Swerte kaayo ang mga Dabawenyo kay gi-providan sila sa city government ug ingon ani nga service. Mao nang i-avail gyud nato ni,” Rigo said.

Rigo is the grandson and namesake of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

He is helping his father by extending assistance to the fire and flood victims in Davao City.
